Creator Brian Kiel studied programming at Purdue University in Indiana and Puppetry at the Art Institute of Chicago. He moved to Berlin in 2006, where he founded Apocryphal Productions to further his technology based performances.

'Meine Wunschdomain' ist eine Agentur für angewandte Performance-Kunst, die sich zwischen klarer Dienstleistung, Kunst und Kommunikation, Techniken der Selbsthilfe, des Empowerments und dem intimen Event, bewegt.

Die Agentur wurde von den Künstlerinnen Julia Nietzsche und Knut Schultz gegründet. Beide sind Medien, die Medienkunst machen. Kennen gelernt haben sich die Künstler*innen beim Masterstudiengang Szenische Forschung an der Ruhr Universität in Bochum. Die Agentur für angewandte Performance-Kunst basiert auf einem schlichten Konzept: es werden in eigenen (und anderen) Performances erprobte und als erfolgreich angesehene Methoden und Strategien angewendet, imitiert und den Klient*innen als Tool zur kreativen Alltagsbewältigung weitergegeben. Dabei folgt die Agentur in vielerlei Hinsicht dem Motto 'Sharing is caring’.
